Butterfly Cake

I have been having fun with the pop-up cake this week. The first picture is of the outside of the card and when you open it the cake pops-up!

I love the "chocolate" cake with the sprinkles!!! This time I attached the candles to the designer series paper (sprinkles) instead of the top. I attached the butterflies with dimensionals.
Here is another view.

To make this cake I used the Sweet Always paper. Do you want to know how you can earn this paper for free??? Next month (starting tomorrow) when you order 3 sets of paper you get one for free! I will post more info tomorrow :)

Matchbox Die

This is one of the projects that we made at the demo meeting this month. This box is made using the matchbox die for the big shot! It was super easy and fun to put together.
The box slides out of the sleve to create a cool pocket for candy, mini cards, or anything!

The Sage Shadow paper is from the To the Nines Specialty paper. It is heavy like cardstock and SO COOL!!

Big Shot Butterflies

How cool is this!!! I have to say that I got my inspiration for this card from 3 of my awesome stamping friends! The colors were from Ashley and the layout was from Stacie and Chelsey. Check out the links to see their awesome cards! To Create the butterfly, I put a piece of the sticky cuts onto a scrap of cardstock and added some ribbon scraps. Then all you have to do is run it through the big shot with the Beautiful Butterflies Die. I also used the little leaves die and the Always stamp set. I love the saying "you mean everything to me" it fits so perfectly!

More Clips

I should have held off on my last post, well here is one more set of clips that I made. This time I used the Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon to accent the red in the flower! I love these so much! The trick is to just use a little bit of glue with the taffeta ribbon.

So Stinkin Cute!!

At our downline meeting they have tons of door prizes. I was a lucky winner and I won these awesome Fleurettes! I almost added them to my last order but I held off and I was so excited to put these together. Now my mission is to find a super cute outfit for my baby to wear to match these or maybe I should just stitch some to the front of a onesie, hmm.. well we will have to see :)

My Swap

Last weekend was our awesome spring downline meeting. I had a TON of fun, and learned so much. One thing we always do is have a swap and this is the card I made. Our theme was to use punches and I used a bunch. If you have any questions of how I made this just let me know. Here is a picture of me with 2 of my amazing uplines! (Amy, Me and Brandi) I am so lucky to have such great uplines, I learn so much from them and I always look forward to Amy's training in the spring and Brandi's training in the fall. Are you jealous yet? I would love for you to join us next time! I will share more of what we did soon! I was kind of lazy at the event, I mostly just stamped everything (so I could chat with my friends) so I need to put it all together before I can show you :)

Altered Notebook

I was having some fun with my big shot and sticky cuts the other day. You may remember this flower, it is the same one that we used on the April club pages. To decorate this notebook I first cut it in half and then covered it with textured Baja Breeze cardstock (love that stuff!) I used the blue glitter, little leaves die, Trio Flower Punch, and a halfback pearl from the pretties kit to embellish it. Here is a side view to show you how I attached it, just a bit of sticky strip :)

A Blue Train Book with a Pen

My oldest always wants one of everything that I make so when I was making the Easter post-it note holders he of course wanted one for himself with a blue pen. I told him that I will make him one with a train and so ever since he has asked for his "blue train book with a pen". So today he finally got it. He decided where to put the smoke and he also wanted ribbon cause all the others I have made have ribbon, he is too funny. This stamp set is a brand new one called Choo Choo in the new occasions mini catalog (you can click on the link on the left) for every $40 you order from the occasions catalog you get to pick one of the under $10 items in the catalog on page 208 for free!!

Here is my son's first train with this stamp set. I think he did an awesome job at hooking them together!

Happy Easter

I have been holding off showing you the club pages for this month because I know they will look so much better with pictures on them but I won't get the pictures until thursday so I thought I should show them now :) by the way, costco has a coupon this week for 9 cent prints, so go print your albums and get ready for scrapbooking next month!! (hint, hint) I will update this post after I get the pictures on the page :) edit: obviously here is the finished page :) To make this page we used the Contempo Alphabet, A good Egg and the Big Shot Baskets and Blooms die. We also had a lot of fun with glitter this month. We put glitter on the chick's shell and we made our own sticky cuts with the sticky pages and the big shot. To do this we ran it through the big shot and then we only took the white back off the inside petals and placed it on the Barely Banana paper next to the happy easter words and carefully removed the rest of the flower that we later placed on the basket shown below. Then we took off the red protective layer and added glitter to our hearts content!

If you have any questions on how we did anything, just let me know!

Laundry

I have wanted this decor elements forever and I always forgot to order it. I thought it would look so cool in the room and it does! I actually want to just sit and look at it now so maybe it will encourage me to do more laundry :) I am glad I put it by the window so now when I look in the room It is the first thing I see!

A card or a basket?

This month at club I gave everyone the choice to make either this card or this basket. Which one would you choose? We also made a scrapbook page that I will share next week.
They both use the Big Shot Baskets and blooms die. The ladies who made the basket also textured it with the Stampin Up texture plates like the one I have on the card.

Kids Scrapbook Class

Last week the 8-11 year old girls in my neighborhood (14 of them) came over to make a scrapbook page, here is what we made. We took pictures of them with their mom's a couple weeks before so we printed the pictures out so they could take home a finished page. They even had time to do a little journaling in the white square. I kept it pretty simple but I couldn't resist adding a couple of rub-ons, a rhinestone brad, and some ribbon. The stamps we used were Enjoy Every Moment and Eastern Blooms and we used both the Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette colors along with the Chocolate Chip.
It was a total hit, the girls (and moms) loved the page!
