Washi tape tags class

Oh my goodness I absolutely LOVE washi tape!  This is really the first big project I have made with it.  I have added some here and there on other things but I was seriously giddy making the projects for this class.  It is seriously fun, easy, and addicting!

If you would like to make these projects with me, my class is on Wednesday, November 13th at 7:00 ($13)

Ok well first off this is the super cute box.  Wouldn't this box be so fun to receive a gift in?  I know I would love it.  Well in my box I don't have a gift but Christmas Tags!

You can see a sneak peak of the cards through the window sheet circle.  The red piece of washi tape is on the card in the box.

I put 15 cards and envelopes in this box.  They fit great since they are flat!

I basically pulled out all the holiday themed greetings from my current stamp sets and got to work stamping.

Can you spot the Christmas Trees?  Which tag is your favorite?

Thank you cards are a must at Christmas time right?  These tags are perfect, just a little thank you note.

These are the envelopes!  I wrapped the washi tape around the back so there is a bit on the back as well.

If you haven't tried washi tape, you seriously are missing out!  Check out the other washi tape you can get in my online shop here and in the Holiday Catalog.

Fun Fall Class

Here are the fun cards we made at my friend's house.  It all started with the cards below, we made these at Convention this year and I fell in love with the simplicity and just had to re-create them!

Here is the fun packaging, again I just cased the convention projects.  So fun and easy!

Simply Stars

I have NO idea why, but I am not good at making projects with stars!  It might be the sharp edges, or the symmetrical image or the fact that I always think they should be red white or blue.  Does anyone else have the same problem or is it only me?

I got the Simply Stars stamp set at a regional event I attended and my stamp set has just been collecting dust.  So I challenged myself to make a card with it.  I was pleasantly surprised with the results, so I guess the stamp set is a keeper. :)

For this card I used Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizazz, and So Saffron.  I still love the Crisp Cantaloupe color and I love it even more with Calypso Coral.  What is your favorite In- Color this year?

Spooky Banner

I absolutely LOVE Halloween, I love it so much that I start decorating in September and keep the decorations up till the middle of November.  So when I saw the spooky banner in the catalog and at convention, I knew I had to make one for my home.

This banner is pretty easy to make, the banner pieces come cut and with the jumbo eyelets so we just get to decorate them.
For my banner, I didn't want precise lines so I chose to spray the stencils with the stampin spritzers instead of using the sponge daubers.

Here are some close ups of the banners.  If you would like to make a banner of your own, send me a message.  I am having a class later this month!

More Six Sided Sampler

When I was designing my swaps for convention I also created this card... that is why so many elements are the same :)  I have seen this layout of hexagons on pinterest a lot and wanted to make my own.  I like the mix of small and big hexagons but wasn't so sure that I liked the background embossed... which is why I chose the other card instead.  I love those simply pressed clay flowers though.  On this card I attached the gray flower with dimensionals!

To get the small Costal Cabana hexagon, I stamped the image from the Six Sided Sampler stamp set in Costal Cabana ink on Costal Cabana cardstock and then ran it through the big shot with the hexagon embossing folder.  I then used my paper snips to cut out the hexagon.  Another great way to  make different sizes of hexagons is to print them out using My Digital Studio.

Riverton Regional

In April, Stampin' Up! hosted an awesome regional event in Riverton at the home office and I was one of the lucky people able to attend.  I have previously shared my card swap and downline gift I took to this event.  Check them out if you missed them.  I am now going to share some of my favorite parts of the day!

This event was super exciting because they gave us all the new catalog early!  Don't we all love it?  They also had a bunch of projects that are featured in the catalog out for us see.

One thing I loved was that we were in the warehouse!  I loved being in the room with so many stamping supplies!  You can see a bit of the warehouse in the picture below... this card was made by  my friend Jane, she was one of the presenters!

Michelle won prize patrol!

No event is complete without a make and take!  The cute box below was one of the projects we made.

It was fun to see Chelsey up on stage with Shannon!

Shelli's Beautiful card

Shopping!!!!  I loved shopping with my friends in the warehouse!  Brand spanking new products, no shipping, and friends.  Sounds like the perfect shopping trip to me!

We couldn't leave without taking pictures by the famous Stampin' Up! rock...

Friends... (I love our stamping group)

It's My Anniversary Party! 9 years!

It is time to celebrate, I have been a demonstrator for 9 years now!  So to celebrate, I have a huge party!  At this party, everyone makes 3 free cards, can sign up for fall classes, and shop at my stampin yard sale.  The 3 cards we are making this weekend are so fun.

If you would like to come then post a comment or email me at kasia567@yahoo.com and I will send you an invitation!

Lets get a closer look at those cards... Card #1 is made with the Tag it stamp set.

My colors for this card are Costal Cabana, So Saffron and Calypso Coral.  I just love these colors together.  This stamp is super easy to color with the Stampin Write markers for a multiple colored image.

Card #2 uses the Tape it and Yippee Skippee stamp sets
I LOVE the burlap ribbon!  I frayed the ends of the ribbon a little for this card.  The colors are Baked Brown sugar (for the words) Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, and Crushed Curry.

I couldn't have a party this year without hexagons... So the Six Sided sampler saved the day for card #3.

Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay, and Smoky Slate for this card.

This is going to be awesome, I am so excited!!!  Hope to see you there.

Label Love and Dress up!

My friend and downline hosted a new catalog swap a few months ago, this is the card I created for that.  We needed to use products in the catalog.  I used the new Label Love stamps and the matching punch), the simply pressed clay and the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.
To create the Pistachio Pudding doily, I used a stampin spritzer by filling it up with rubbing alcohol and about 20 drops of Pistachio Pudding ink refils.  I then layed out a bunch of doilies and spritzed away.

Pinwheel mini cards and card holders

I attended my downline Michelle's very first card class and she gave everyone a cute box filled completely with yummy candy and a banner... I should have taken a picture!  Well you will just have to imagine it, it was basically the box below without the 2 smaller banners and bow but with a cute banner on a toothpick sticking out of the box.  Well I have a hoarding problem because I have such a hard time getting rid of anything that is hand stamped!  (oh come on, you all know what I mean right? - good thing I give away a bunch of stuff each year at my anniversary party :)  So back to my story... I had this cute box displayed on my shelf for a while and then inspiration struck.  I had an event coming up and wanted to give a gift to the hostess... so I made this!

I took Michelle's beautiful box and added some Pool Party products to coordinate with my color theme and made some cute pinwheel cards to go inside...

I think I had 5 cards inside but I guess I only took a picture of 3 of them.  This event was back at the beginning of the year so I used the sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper for most of them.  and Voila, the cards and envelopes fit perfectly in the box!

I also wanted to give a little gift to my customers so I packaged some cards in celo bags...

Here is a picture of the front of one bag and the back of the other... I had the banner fold over to the other side and of course I had to show a different card on both sides :)

There you go, 2 fun ways to package 3x3 cards!  Wouldn't it be fun to receive either of these?

2nd Annual Wedding Card Class

In January I held my 2nd Annual Wedding Card Class.  It was a success so I will probably have another one next year.  Here are the cards we made:
Everyone who attends gets to choose which cards they make and how many of each card.  All the cards were well loved and chosen by many people.   I tried to make a variety and I think I accomplished that.

This first card is made with various punches and the Occasions Alphabet.  I love the sayings on this alphabet!
I just love the chevrons and butterflies on this card.  The silver Glimmer paper gave it just the right amount of shine
The neutral colors on this card really speak to me.  The Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Sahara Sand.  You can't go wrong with this color combo.
 I loved that flower trim....
My favorite part on this card was the burlap inspired ribbon.  To make this unique bow, I had one long piece of ribbon and tied a knot near the end.  Before pulling the knot tight, I slipped a shorter piece through the knot.
After stamping with Basic Gray Ink, I used Stampin Write markers to outline the leaves and color in the flower for a subtle pop of color.
This card definitely had a lot of stamping.  The scalloped flower has 4 images stamped onto it.  We then crumbled it in our hands to give it some dimension before adhering it to the card.

This card was the favorite of the night... the chalkboard technique is so big this year.
I started by rubbing the embossing buddy over the black cardstock (this helps the embossing powder to only stick to the versamark and not to the cardstock).  After heat embossing, I used a sponge with the white ink to add some "chalk dust" to the cardstock.
The flowers were lightly dipped on the stamp pad to add a bit of color.
I hope you enjoyed these cards, I look forward to creating the cards for my wedding class next year!  Everyone is invited, if you would like to come just let me know!
