Sneak Peek

At Leadership this year, they gave us a stamp set that isn't available to order yet.  Love Love Love being a demonstrator, we often get things early!
This Card has 5 images in the new stamp set... the congrats stamp is retired.
Just a fun tip... the Blushing Bride scallop circle is not attached with dimensionals, I used my bone folder to curl the petals up a bit for a little dimension.

I am going to be super sad to say goodbye to these in colors.  Poppy Parade is one of my favorites.  We just have a few more months to enjoy these colors!

Birthday Treat

It's birthday weekend here at our house, and I totally forgot to get a treat ready for my kindergartner to share with his class!  So super last minute (20 min before school started today) I was a mad stamper... because even though I know that every one of these will end up in the trash, I just couldn't send a treat to school without something cute on top.

Air Heads (or air balloon heads as my 6 year old calls them) are my kids favorite treat this month, and luckily we had enough for his class :)  I think I was inspired by the "balloon" in the name to grab the Up, Up and Away stamp set.
Well time for me to get ready for his first friend party...

Monster Card for a Monster Truck loving boy

A darling little boy in my neighborhood had heart surgery last year and I made him this card so all his friends in the neighborhood could write him a message inside (and on the back).  I have never made such a big card before!  This was made with a poster board folded in half.  I am not very good at drawing, so my husband found an awesome picture online of a monster truck and I used it as my template.  I LOVE how the big shot and punches make everything so much better!
Sorry I didn't take any close ups of the poster... the flag was attached to a toothpick, and the bumpy ground is the ric rac on the tasteful trim big shot die.

Delicate Doilies

This is the card we made at stamp club back in July or August... and I still love it.  We stamped with the doily stamps, used the doily punch, and the Pennant die for the Big Shot.  We also used a strip of fabric instead of a ribbon!  Did you know that you can get this fabric free during Sale-a-Bration?  Yep, free with a $50 order!  It comes in a set of 3 extra wide fat quarters in these patterns...

Love the fabric!  We also made the banners by punching out the end of the cardstock with a square punch!  It is so much easier than just cutting it with scissors!

Big Shot Framelits

I Love these new big shot framelits, they cut really well and now we have something to use on Tab 2 of our Big Shot platform!  They come in this plastic envelope with a snap closure...

then you slide out the papers and inside is the dies.
They are attached to this sheet by a strip of double sided tape... not the easiest or quickest to use.
But at Leadership I learned from some other demonstrators a better way to store them... Magnets!  They are metal and stay put with our magnet sheets.  The other demonstrators cut a full sheet of magnets, but I wanted to cut the magnet sheets with the big shot instead, so I chose this ric rac pattern from the Tasteful Trim Die.

I even made one for the edgelits... I figured if we ever get any more I would just store them with these ones.

The magnet sheets have a sticky side so it was super easy to adhere it to the inside of the Clear Mount stamp cases that I sell.  The clear mount cases have a place for us to slide in the instructions as well, so they went on the front cover.

These clear cases are awesome, I have decorated them and given them as gifts (card holders or notebook holders) and they are also the perfect size for holding the Stampin' Write Markers!

There you have it, super easy and convenient!

Valentines Day Decor

For someone who likes pink and hearts, I realized that I don't have many Valentines Day decorations.  Now I remember why I made a few decorations last year :)  So to add to my collection, I made some banners.

To make this, I started out with a canvas board that I got from a local craft store.  I just put a small dab of hot glue that holds both the pennants and the Espresso Bakers Twine.  The pennant punch worked perfectly for this.  I mostly used Stampin' Up! paper but I added a few pennants made out of real sheet music since this would be a decoration on my piano.
So here it is in action... maybe next year I will make something else to add.

Hanging the Stockings with Care

Yes, Christmas is over but I still wanted to share these projects with you.

Love these pages, the closepins, jingle bells, and that awesome lolly... Love the Simply Scored tool!  (oh did you hear that we are getting a diagonal plate for the simply scored tool?  AWESOME!)

I used the Doily dies as snowflakes!

Pennant Note Cards

This card is a little bit smaller than the average card, I made this card with the Note Cards (it includes the whisper white background and envelopes that match).  I gave a set of these note cards for a gift and this is how I packaged them...

A celo bag, a strip of fabric, and a fabric hair flower clipped to the top.
Simple yet sweet!

Did you know you can earn this fabric for free this month?  Click on the Sale-a-Bration catalog on the right to find out more.

You're My Type

I should have taken this picture on a different colored background... Sorry the white on white is hard to see.  These are the pages I made this month for stamp club...
Didn't I tell you that I just had to have that typewriter?  Well that combined with banners and hearts basically sums up my favorites right now.
All this awesome shimmer is from the Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz.  I just sprayed each 12x12 sheet 2 times... so basically half of the page has the sparkle and half doesn't.

All the little hearts were cut out with the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die (it cuts and textures at the same time) and the big hearts were cut out with the new Framelits Dies - hearts collection.  I have a blog post coming up that shows you these framelits dies and an awesome way to store them.
(I was asked about this pearl - it is one of the new 8mm Large pearls)

Love this stamp set...
Just a reminder, mini catalog items are only available till April 30th so make sure you get it before it is gone.

More Button Buddies

Button Buddies is such a fun stamp set, I always seem to focus on the new and forget about the stamps I have had for a little while.  It is always fun to pull out a stamp set or cards made with the stamp set and fall in love with it again.
I love how these cherries look vintage by just using the Stampin Markers. I also love how the colors match perfectly! (the ribbon, paper and ink are all the same color!)
The fun part about this stamp set is that the buttons we sell coordinate perfectly with every image.
I am pretty good at making birthday and thank you cards but I always forget about baby cards!  What kind of card are you always running out of?

More Leadership Fun

I have been asked to post more about leadership and San Antonio, so here you go...

Well, we didn't really spend much time in the hotel, but look at this view.  I am still so bummed that I didn't bring my swim suit, it was 85 degrees the day I arrived... and I was there for hours before my friends, oh well I will remember next time!

Here is a pic of the hotel and the guy the convention center is named after lol! I did like watching the elevators go up and down the tower at night.

This is something I haven't seen before... they rent out bikes!
This was my most favorite place on the river walk, these cute tables and chairs were outside the yummiest icecream/fudge/caramel apple store!
We played on the river walk at night, but went to many classes during the day.  One thing that is different from my school days... taking notes by taking a picture of the jumbo tron!

We learned about new products coming soon, promotions that will happen soon, were entertained at main stage, and watched many stamping demonstrations!

My favorite product that is coming soon is the diagonal score plate for the Simply Scoring tool!  I am so excited!  They showed us how to make an envelope...

My favorite demonstration was from Shelli Gardner (Stampin' Up!'s CEO).  She made this super pretty bag topper, I LOVE it.
I also loved the many samples with this typewriter stamp!  It will definitely enter my stamp collection soon.
Another fun card... I am not sure who made these, they were in the card contests.
Love this ruffle pillow, they decorated a dozen pillows with the new fabric, the workers from the home office even had aprons made out of it!
Definitely a Stampin' Up! event to remember.

MDS Holiday Cards

Did you know that Stampin' Up! has a digital software?  Have you ever wanted to try it out for free?  Well now you can!  You can now download it to your computer for a free 30 day trial!  It is pretty easy to download, you can order it through my online store HERE. (just click the shop now button)

I have played around with MDS a bit, but this Christmas, I printed my first My Digital Studio Project... My Christmas Card!
My mom and my sister loved my card so much that they asked me to make some for them.  I made a few samples for each of them and they picked their favorite.
(When we printed these all out, we cut off about a half inch on the right and left for the landscape cards and the top and bottom for the portrait card.)
I cannot tell you enough how excited I was to make these... I am NOT a digital person (yet) and it was so scary for me to learn but it was pretty easy!  Stampin' Up! has a website dedicated to My Digital Studio and has videos, samples, and forums to help us.
Click HERE for the My Digital Studio Website

Ok so when you download the software, you get tons of colors, images, everything that comes with the software.  They also have TONS of downloads you can purchase.  You can use these with My Digital Studio (of course) or you could use it with software you might already have as well.

Click HERE to see the My Digital Studio Catalog

I definitely don't consider myself an expert, but I would love to answer any question you might have, so send me a message and if I don't already know the answer I will find it for you!
