Tape it

Washi tape is soooo popular and so fun.  When I saw this stamp set in the catalog I seriously squealed.  I just had to have it on my next order.  I know I am not alone in this because I see this stamp set EVERYWHERE on pinterest!
Tape It
Doesn't it look so fun?  Would you like to see the cards I made with it?  Great, cause I would like to share them. :)  These cards I designed for my friends to make at my June card class.

For this card I used Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and 3 new in colors... Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Baked Brown Sugar.  The splatters were stamped with the stamp in the first Paper Pumpkin box anyone gets.  It is a must have stamp!  (To learn more about Paper Pumpkin click HERE.  If you sign up with me before August 31st use the promo code PUMPKINDEAL to get 2 months half off!)

The simply pressed clay buttons add some fun dimension to this card, the best part is that the buttons are sooo light and we can make them in any color!!!

I made some cards with the Fine Feathers stamp set to match.

Convention Gifts

I received some super cute gifts from my uplines and roommates this year and am excited to share them with you.  My upline Brandi made this for me.
I love the colors and the silver shimmer.  Her group is named the Queens of the Stamp Age, so the queen fits :)  Inside she gave us all some pressed clay molds and some glitter!
This flower is from my upline Amy.  Such a cute way to decorate the washi tape.
I just love everything made with this ribbon!
Sherri made the butterfly and filled it with yummy treats.  One thing I thought was awesome is the scalloped ribbon tie.  It was super easy to remove and replace since it is super stretchy.  That way I could eat the chocolate inside and still tie it up nice :)  Such a fun butterfly box!
Chelsey made this card holder.  It stands up on its own and when the twine is slipped off, it folds flat!  The twine stays in place because she punched some notches with a circle die.  So clever!
These 3 cute mini cards were inside.

This was technically not a gift but a card swap.  When I saw this card I knew my horse loving daughter would love it.  I cut off the back and put it in a frame and it is now living on my daughters shelf.
I love this stamp set, I got it for my daughter and was glad to see it used.  Aren't the feathers perfect?  I also love the burlap ribbon!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing these awesome gifts!  Can you think of anyone in your life who would appreciate gifts like these?
I feel so lucky to have so many talented friends!  The friendships I have made through Stampin' Up! are my most favorite part of being a demonstrator!!!

Chevron Ribbon Flower Magnet

Today I want to share with you the gift I gave my downline on Friday night.

Doesn't that look so fun?  Ok but you are wondering what it is right?  Well first I made this tag using the Chalk Talk framelits.  That awesome shape at the top helps us attach the tag to the top of the candy bag.  I stamped it in Pistachio Pudding with the Delicate Doilies and glued on the magnets.  I wanted to use only one magnet but alas I needed 2 to keep it all together.

If you didn't already guess, this cute flower is a magnet.  The magnet base I used only has the magnet part on the left... which is why I attached the circle magnets on the left of the tag.
I attached the smoky slate chevron ribbon with onr of the jumbo sticky rounds... if you don't have any sticky rounds then sticky strip would also work.  The ribbon is actually threaded through a hole in the metal of the magnet back.
So here are the pieces...
and when put together they create this fun gift!  Oh and the candy is super yummy melt in your mouth minty chocolate.
I hope my downline will remember to dream and remember the fun times we had when they look at the magnet!
I would love to hear if you like this gift.... leave me a comment! :)

Burlap Ribbon Love Tag

This year for convention I got an early start on my projects.   I found these awesome lacy tins and thought they would be perfect to decorate and give to my downline at convention.  Didn't they turn out so cute?
I love getting pillow gifts so I made a gift for my downline ladies for both nights we were there.  This was the Thursday night gift.
This tag uses a couple products from the holiday mini.  I love being a demonstrator so I can order everything a month early!  The Holiday catalog goes live in August :)
I cut the tag out with the big shot and the Deco Labels framelits and stamped it with the Off the Grid stamp.  (this stamp is awesome!)  The ribbon is the new Soft Sky Seam Binding.  I am so glad this color is back!  It was the perfect touch of color to my neutral theme.  The holiday catalog products I used are the fabulous 1 1/4 inch Burlap Ribbon and the Expressions Thinlits Dies cut out the word Love (it also comes with the words thankful and merry)  I am excited to use these more this year!

All about me Poster

My Daughter had an assignment last spring in preschool to bring a poster to school that shows all about her.  My friend Stacie shared this idea with me.  Instead of decorating the poster, decorate some smaller pages and put them on the poster.  That way when the poster comes home, you can take those smaller pages off and put them in a scrapbook!  So I made these pages 6x6 and stuck them on the poster with dimensionals!

As you can see she LOVED the poster and she still loves to look at the pages in the book I made!
Here are a few more pictures of the pages...
 (first cake)
Don't you love that banner?  I stamped it with the photopolymer stamp on the back and cut it out!
(elephant watching)
 (she loves Classic Skating)
(sparklers)

Now you might be thinking to yourself... now wait Stampin' up! doesn't sell 6x6 albums anymore.  You are right, they aren't in the catalog but I found this one on the Clearance rack!

Stampin' Up! Convention 2013

Convention this year was AMAZING.  I am soooo glad I went and want to share some of my favorite moments with you today.

We must have had purple on the brain cause Chelsey, Sherri and I arrived matching!  We are anxiously awaiting the opening of the doors for the first mainstage.
Fireworks, famous people singing and Shelli's whole family.  It was an awesome opening session.  You can watch the whole thing HERE!  The closing session was also on youtube, you can watch it HERE.

This year is Stampin' Up!'s 25th anniversary, so they threw a party to celebrate.  My favorite parts were the treats (of course), the free product (washi tape!!!) and the green screen photo ops.  (I wonder when they will be on flickr... anyone know?)
I was so excited 3 girls in my downline came to convention!  It was Cindy and Michelle's first time!
My upline Brandi taught a class and did a great job!  It was so fun to see her on stage.  She is a natural.
I loved the decorations this year, Stampin' Up went all out with the banners, displays, party atmosphere, photo ops, etc.  I loved it!

Display boards!  These boards show samples using some of the free stamp sets we received.  (click on the picture to see it better)

This was the first convention that I stayed in a hotel, usually I am driving home every night.  This year we decided to stay in the hotel and I am so glad I did.  My roommates (Chelsey, Sherri, and Michelle) were awesome!
Denise and I were leadership roomies, it was fun to see her again!
No Stampin' Up! party is complete without some stamping! I loved how they decorated the tables for make and takes.

Isn't this mason jar so cute!  I loved how they stored the supplies in it!

If you think convention sounds fun, you should join the party next year!  This is when it will be:

MDS Birthday Invitations

My Digital Studio is so much fun!  I made this invitation for my son's birthday party last year.  I just added some text to the picture and printed them out.  Brady loved passing his invitations out to all of his friends.

Oh Whale Cards

If you recall, I recently posted about my spring downline group meeting.  For the meeting I made a super fun box with the fancy favor die.  You can see it HERE.  Today I want to share with you the 5 whale cards I made to fit inside the box.  After the downline meeting, I was able to hold a class at my house with my stamping friends.  These cards are made with the notecards and envelopes, so they are a bit smaller than a regular sized card.  I love them all, which one is your favorite?
This heart card would be perfect for Valentine's day.
On this Whalecome card I used a larger rinestone so it looked like a baby whale to me.

The waves on both of these cards were made with the wheel using versamark ink.  Love that stuff.
This Get whale soon card was the favorite at my class.
This last card matched the box!  Love the doily waves!
