Box #2

I was watching my neighbor's kids this weekend and I had a chance to stamp with the 9 year old (we told the other kids they had to be 8 to stamp :) I got this die for the big shot not to long ago and I haven't had a chance to play with it, it looked easy enough and man it was, all it needs is a tiny piece of sticky strip to hold this whole thing together. I was so proud of her she did a great job. She made the green box and chose all the colors and stamps by herself. I thought the bird was cute so I put it on my box too!

Congrats

I love the big shot!! To make this card I cut the top note image out of the Baja Breeze Cardstock and then I ran it through again inside the new Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die. I sponged the raised image a little but it is hard to see on the picture. The Congrats Stamp is one that I got free for Sale-a-Bration.

Family Time

A few weeks ago we got our family pictures taken. My brother in law takes amazing photos and we are so blessed that he was able to take these of us. I already know which of my scrapbook pages I want to put them on but I just wanted to give my friends and fam a sneak peak! Don't worry I haven't forgotten, I will post the winners of the blog candy tomorrow!

Just a few more days to Sale-a-Brate!!!

March 31st is the end of Sale-a-Bration for one whole year. If you are interested in earning any of the Sale-a-Bration items free just let me know! Here are a few things I have made with the Sale-a-Bration Delicate Dots designer series paper, ribbon and stamps. These cute notebooks were a gift for the first 3 people who signed up for my Sale-a-Bration class. I made them all different with different sayings from the Define Your Life stamp set. We decorated the nuggets to put inside the top note bag. (we put the peppermint patties inside the square box below)
Here is one more card I made with the SAB products. The stem to the flowers is kind of hard to see, I used the swirly stem from the Stitched Exotics stamp set.

Post-it Note Holder

I found these cute gel pens in the target dollar spot and thought they would work perfectly on a post-it note holder and they work great! I love how the orange gel pen matches the cute chick's beak. I popped up the images on dimensionals and used 2 stacked on top of each other for the right side of the word window punch. I love how the saying "you crack me up" fits perfectly in the punch! I added the chunky glitter with a 2-way glue pen and It is really hard to see online but I stamped flowers on the Banana cardstock.
Make sure you scroll down to my Blog Candy post, the FREE card and supplies are still available :)

Cheep Talk

I pulled out a bunch of projects I have made but haven't posted yet and was trying to decide what to post today when my son chose for me. He told me to take a picture of this one so he could eat the candy. :) I made him wait so long and you can barely see it in the pictures and now the candy is gone so I can't take the picture again :) I love these little square boxes, they are so fun to make. I used the Flower Burst embosslit to decorate the candy. All you have to do to make this flower is to put a piece of paper inside the embosslit and run it through the big shot, it cuts and embosses the flower, it is SO easy!!
I sponged a little bit of ink on the flower to show the dimension and attached it to the candy.

Edit: thanks for the reminder, you can find a tutorial for these here.

BLOG CANDY!!!

So last time I had blog candy I was told that "people usually only check out blogs once a week and you should have let the time last longer." Ok you are probably right but my stuff is so cute that you all check my blog everyday to see what I have created right??? So to hopefully make you all happy I will leave this open for 1 whole week, and to make it better I will have more than one winner (depending on how many comments I get)!!

Do you want to know what the blog candy is??? I will send you the supplies to make a pop-up birthday or wedding cake (your choice). This doesn't include adhesive or accessories, just the cardstock already die cut and ready to assemble to the inside of one of your cards. I haven't seen any other samples of this online so I thought I would spread the fun :)
Just leave me a comment on this post AND find something else on my blog that you like and leave a comment on that post as well. Thanks for playing and good luck!!

To see a picture of a wedding cake I made click here.

*** Edit - I am changing it up a bit, I will send you a cake already made AND the supplies to make another one :)**** so leave me a comment if you want a cake card!

Butterfly Purse

I have been debating for a while now whether I should post this or not, it is so not my favorite but I think the idea is so cute. I made this purse with the bigshot and my circle cutter. I think the saying is so cute it says "if nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies"
check back later for some blog candy!!!!!

Another Cupcake

I made this super cute huge cupcake to decorate posters to advertise the service/cake event (see the next post). I loved the sprinkles on Ashley's cupcakes so I just had to do the same thing. (anytime you need some cupcake inspiration her blog is where you should go :) My mom scalloped the posterboard and backed it in pink so it was super cute!!

100 Cupcakes!

I wish we made 100 cupcakes to eat but we stamped them instead :) I helped my mom make some invitations for her enrichment activity. They are having a cake and cupcake table and the theme was finding sweetness in service so we made cupcake invitations. I am not sure if you can see but we used the little dots texture plates for the big shot on the pink topnote. We also used crystal effects on the frosting and cherry. They were a lot of fun to make and the ladies loved them!!

Pop Up Fun

I love being a demonstrator!! One of the perks is that we can pre-order so many toys, and stamps before anyone else and yesterday I had some time to play with one of the new toys I was able to pre-order. As soon as I saw this in our Stampin Success Magazine (the awesome one that we get every month) I knew that I was getting this!

I brought my bag full of stamps to my in laws and so I was kind of limited on supplies but I really like how this card turned out. The front of the card I kept pretty plain. I used the So Saffron Sale-a-Bration paper and ribbon and added the chocolate chip ink and paper. Check out the inside, isn't this so so so cool!!! I absolutely love it. Wouldn't you just love to get or give this as a wedding card? I didn't take my sticky strip with me but I definitely recomend it, I had to doctor it up a bit when I got home :)
This cake is a die for my Big Shot! It cuts out all the images except for the 3 strips of paper to go around the cake, it was pretty easy to put together too. The cake sits completely in the middle of the fold on the card so you have to open it up completely to open the cake. Here is what it looks like while it is folding, it is a lot of fun to open and close it so I had to hide it from my kids :)

The die also comes with a candle so you may be seeing some birthday cakes sometime soon!! I am not sure when this will be available to everyone, maybe next month? If you want to come and play with mine just let me know :)

March Club Pages

Here are the fabulous pages that we made at our stamp club this month. Can I tell you how much I LOVE the Certainly Celery poly-twill ribbon!!! I think the grosgrain ribbon is fabulous too but the poly-twill is my favorite so I couldn't resist putting a ton of it on these pages along with my favorite print in the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper.
We embossed all the flowers, cut the letters out with the Big Shot and used the scallop edge punch to make the white border.

Polka Dot Punches

This is the card we made at club this month. Most everything I got for free from Sale-a-bration!! The technique we did was embossing (a couple of my girls requested it again) and it was so fun. We embossed the flowers with white embossing powder. I chose this card to teach them how to make a big circle with the Round Tab punch. Here is another cute card I made with the same stamps and paper but this time I punched out the squares with the 1 3/8 inch square punch. I saw a very similar card here that I loved and just had to case :)

You can see the embossed flower better in this picture.

What's for Dinner???

That is a question used every day in my home, so I decided I better figure it out :) So this is what I did, I just stamped a simple calendar (I use this stamp a lot!). I have it pretty easy because my husband works about half of the nights in a month and I get to assign a few days to my husband each month so I usually only cook a couple times a week. I also write it in pencil so I can change it up as I go if I want. This Month I am stumped, as you can see I only have meals for 2 nights and now those nights are over. I keep making the same recipes over and over so if you have a great family recipe, send it my way :)
Thanks!
