All you do sew bird after bird down the line leaving some thread in between each of them. 
I also made some with butterflies to decorate for my daughters birthday. (sorry it is a bad picture - it wasn't working for me that day!)

Butterflies and Birds on a Line
Sewing on paper is so much fun! A while ago I made this spring decoration using the bird punch. All you do sew bird after bird down the line leaving some thread in between each of them. I also made some with butterflies to decorate for my daughters birthday. (sorry it is a bad picture - it wasn't working for me that day!)
